Question: Who sired the Lord Jesus? Was it Joseph, his young mother’s new husband?
- Answer: No, it was the Holy Spirit. Had he been sired by Joseph, he would have inherited Joseph’s sin line (Christ was born without sin).
Question: Sin line, what do we mean when we refer to someone’s sin line?
Answer: In Exodus 34:7 we find that the iniquity of the fathers is visited upon their children and their children’s children as far back as four generations. That iniquity (sin) is referred to as one’s sin line. We may well have some of our mother’s physical traits, but we all share our father’s sin line.
The Psalmist wrote (51:5) “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.” In other words, the writer is saying that through natural birth we are all born in sin with a sin line to contend with.
But what does all of this have to do with blood and/or body parts. The answer should be obvious by now. When we accept the blood or body parts from another we inherit their sin line.
A mother who has herself impregnated with the sperm from anyone other than her husband will not only give birth to a bastard child, both her and the child takes on the sin line of the donor. No if’s and’s or but’s.
Is there a way around this pitfall? No, not that I am aware of, but there is a way to deal with a would-be, or existing problem, if the one doing the ministering understands what he is doing. There is no room for mistakes here.
